One thing I found quite interesting about the scene we watched in class today was how it was shot, seemingly, from up in the sky. Lear's speech is addressed to the wind & the thunder, and it is as if we are looking at him from their vantage point.
It reminds me of what Gloucester says: "As flies to wanton boys are we to th' gods. / They kill us for their sport."
I thought there was certainly something a little fly-like about Lear in that scene. He was really little but he sure was making a lot of annoying noise. If you were a god wouldn't you just want to swat him?
