As the semester draws to a close

It's Easter weekend in the middle of April and we're winding down this spring semester of 2009. It's been a good journey for us honors kids. We've covered many interesting topics, ideas, and text in the past 4 months. Just to name of few of the works we've covered, St. Augustine, Aquinas, and Dante's Inferno. We've also had the pleasure of Dr. B coming in and teaching us about, among other things, Byzantine Art and Romanesque and Gothic architecture. One might say we've seen the world through many different eyes. In other words, many different perspectives. It's been a good journey, although not always the easiest one. But what kind of a journey would it be without challenges and obstacles to overcome? Not a worthwhile one, I would add.
